This will likely be the earliest photo here, shot just one day after the arrival of my first digital camera. A passing rainstorm left drops of water on my new lens as the sun began to set. The image still reminds me of newness, and of those west coast showers that flit past as day turns to night.

Looking back from Tin Hat over Haslam Lake, a view that never fails to fill my heart with joy. Past the lowlands you can see Texada Island, then the bulwark of Vancouver Island hiding behind the clouds.
